I purchased Monkey Bizness in December 2015. I am an owner of two facilities as well as the franchisor. In my past, I helped businesses grow and prosper in the consulting world. I am an expert in interpreting financial data and making decisions on how to grow the top and bottom lines. In my time as a CFO I became well-rounded and was introduced to sales and marketing concepts.
Monkey Bizness is an active play concept for kids ages 2-10. Previous ownership did a great job building the model and staying true to the niche it serves. My kids grew up in Monkey Bizness and I am a strong believer of the values it adheres to. As a parent I am constantly looking for activities for my children that don’t involve a video screen. Upon entering this industry, I observed that competition is fragmented. Further, what parents value is being neglected. Many facilities are not clean and customer service is not a priority. Further, many don’t capitalize on the revenue opportunities and make innovation a priority.
As I lead Monkey Bizness forward we will strive to deliver high guest service, an innovative concept that evolves with our customers, and clean facilities. One of my first initiatives was to create additional revenue streams. We have introduced food options that are easy and profitable to the store as well as developed enrichment programs to utilize our party rooms during the summer when they often sit empty during the week. To monitor our level of service, we started surveying our guests to get more feedback on what we can be doing better. In marketing, we partnered with professionals who emphasize content and social media marketing. This allows us to reach millennials who utilize these platforms and are starting to have kids in our target range.
I have a core belief that this franchise system can only be as strong as the entrepreneurs that are part of it. We will move forward as a group that realizes the benefits of working together. I want to build a system that gives our owners more ownership than the typical franchisee in other systems. The business must continue to grow and evolve as our guests wants and needs change. I do not want to be ordinary. I want to be a place where families come to have fun and create memories.
If you decide to pursue a Monkey Bizness franchise, you need to know our core values and mission statement. Every decision that we make is based on these values and we are looking for like-minded entrepreneurs.
I hope to hear from you soon.
