Parents today are more involved and active in raising their children than ever before. Experts believe this trend is just beginning.  Millennials, America’s largest generation by population, have entered their earning prime and are raising families. They currently command an estimated $1.3 trillion in annual consumer spending including $60 billion in children's entertainment.

When it comes to spending money, this demographic finds that experiences trump things: More than 3 in 4 Millennials (78%) would choose to spend money on a desirable experience or event versus buying an item. This translates to millennial parents who value experiences for their kids over a trip to the toy store.

Because parents are more involved than ever, they are looking for quality experiences for their children.  Millenial parents specifically are looking to spend their money with local businesses that invest back into the community. With the proliferation of technology, parents more than ever want fun solutions where kids can unplug.
